Kingsway Regional High School senior Mahalakshmi “Mahi” Mopal turned her personal health challenges into a movement for teen wellness. Through her Community Teen Wellness Program, she empowers peers with practical tools rooted in lifestyle medicine. Mahi also founded Yoga Beyond Boundaries, an adaptive yoga initiative promoting inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Her leadership, supported by mentors from Harvard and Rowan University, focuses on kindness, accessibility, and impact. Recognized by state and local leaders, Mahi continues to inspire others to prioritize holistic health and compassion as she prepares for a future in adolescent psychiatry.
