What I Need to Know
Graduation Ceremony will be held at the Anthony "Tony" Barchuk Stadium, rain or shine, at 5:30pm. Gates open at 4:30pm.
Tickets - Each graduate will receive two commemorative tickets. However, tickets are not required to enter the stadium and seating is on a first come basis. The stadium is big enough to accommodate our graduates and their guests and guests may sit in the home or visitor bleachers or they may stand around the perimeter of the field.
Handicap Parking - Parking attendants will be available to guide you to the proper parking locations. Please have your handicap parking placard visible when you arrive. Enter through K-3 (lot behind South Gym). There are golf carts available for transport (notify the person with a walkie talkie when you are parking).
Handicap Seating - The first row of bleachers is reserved for handicap seating.
Prohibited Items - Signs, noisemakers, horns, whistles, firecrackers, alcohol, illegal substances or other disruptive devices are not permitted in the stadium or on Kingsway's campus. All bags are subject to search and guests may be removed in an effort to maintain order and public safety. Be advised that Kingsway is a smoke-free venue and cigarettes, cigars, pipes and vapes are not permitted.
Live-Stream - Kingsway's Graduation Ceremony is a live-streamed event and the link will be released on the website the day of graduation. Guests may also watch the live stream in the High School's Eitel Theater.
Graduation Attire - Picture taking is one of the hallmarks of graduation. By requesting that graduates stick to a dress code, photos of the day will be much more flattering. Nearly everyone wants a picture, not only of his or her cap and gown but probably in an open gown. Wearing dress clothes underneath makes for a smarter looking photo than jeans and tees. Therefore, students participating in the Graduation Ceremony should dress minimally in "smart-casual." This includes dresses, trousers, skirts, blouses or dress shirts, polo shirts, and dress shoes. No heels should be worn on the turf. Graduates are reminded that this graduation is held outdoors, rain or shine. This means that if there is light rain or periodic showers, the ceremony will continue as planned. Graduates, faculty, staff and families are advised to plan ahead and prepare appropriately for weather conditions. Sunscreen, a clear poncho, sensible shoes, and a good attitude are advisable if conditions warrant. Please view the “Guide to Dress Properly for My Graduation.
Report Time for Graduates - Graduates are expected to report to the South Gym at 3:30 pm. Seniors must park in Lots K-1 and K-2. Carpooling is encouraged.
Class Picture - Graduates will assemble in the South Gym Bleachers for the class picture shortly after arrival.
Photography - In order to ensure the dignity of the ceremony, please take pictures from your seat and refrain from approaching the track and field during the ceremony. A professional photographer will take a still picture as each graduate processes across the stage which will be available for purchase.
