Inclement Weather Policy

Because we do not have an indoor facility large enough to accommodate all of our graduates and their guests, Kingsway’s graduation is held outdoors at Anthony “Tony” Barchuk Stadium.

The graduation ceremony will take place rain or shine. If there is light rain or intermittent showers, the ceremony will continue as planned. Graduates, faculty, staff, and families are encouraged to plan ahead and dress appropriately for the weather. Sunscreen, hats, umbrellas, raincoats, sensible shoes, and a positive attitude are all encouraged if conditions warrant.

If thunder and lightning or other severe weather conditions force a postponement, school officials will move the ceremony to the reserve date, with a scheduled start time of 6:30 PM and gates opening at 5:30 PM. Please note that this time may be adjusted based on weather forecasts.

Graduation will be streamed live and can also be viewed from the comfort of home or inside the High School’s Eitel Theater.
