One in a Million Award recipient: Fallon Corcoran
Where she’s multiplying good: Woolwich Township, New Jersey
How she’s multiplying good: She is One in a Million. Mrs. Corcoran, Kingsway School Districts Student Assistance Coordinator, has provided our youth immeasurable social services and support throughout her tenure and continues to do so just as much during this pandemic. She gives emotional support, individual and group counseling, referrals, and crisis screening for mental health. Students have said she meets their needs on a personal level. Mrs. Corcoran also serves as the SADD club advisor, providing all of our students with substance abuse information, rehabilitation, and opportunities to access necessary services to overcome any and all struggles. She has organized group counseling sessions, and assemblies for thousands of our students. She has also organized special presentations and events together with other clubs like Students In Action and in partnership with the GRASP coalition of Southwest Council, our local prevention, education, and treatment services of Gloucester County. Fallon's expertise and services to our school community has undoubtedly reached families outside of our campus. She has worked closely with Headstart of Swedesboro, a government organization that provides comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to low income children and families. She has even managed to find the time to co advise our High School Student Council and many other events for the student body. For her continued help and support, all of our families and community will forever be grateful and indebted to Mrs. Fallon Corcoran.
