Woolwich Twp. – The Kingsway Education Association (KEA) made a generous donation in the amount of $3,000 to the Kingsway Education Foundation (Foundation) last week during the October Board of Education meeting to a packed audience of parents, students and school officials. The unrestricted donation will be used to support scholarships, mini-grants and events sponsored by the Foundation.

Joe Kuppler, President of the KEA, stated that he was proud to be able to present the donation on behalf of his membership and knows that the money will support our students through scholarships and min-grants.

“The KEA’s donation is greatly appreciated and demonstrates their members’ commitment to our students and programs,” said Dr. James J. Lavender, Superintendent of Schools and Foundation’s Executive Director. “Its these sorts of donations that make the work of the Foundation possible.” To date the Foundation has donated close to $200,000 in scholarships, awards and program sponsorship and has played an integral role in filling funding gaps over the past eight years.

About the Kingsway Education Foundation

The Kingsway Education Foundation (KEF) is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization founded in 2010 to raise funds to support programs, equipment needs, and activities at Kingsway Regional High School and Middle School. Funding raised by the Foundation helps fill in the gaps for programs and activities that cannot be included in the school budget. Similar to a Home and School Association or Parent-Teacher Group, the Kingsway Education Foundation is your opportunity to raise money to support your child’s education. The Foundation is comprised of a dedicated group of parents, teachers, administrators, staff and community members. Additional volunteers are always needed.
