School Performance Report

NJ School Performance

The Department of Education releases School Performance Reports for each public school in the state annually to provide user-friendly information to the public about school performance. The information in these Reports also provides useful data to educators and districts to help develop local improvement plans.

The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) has released the 2023-2024 School Performance Reports, offering valuable insights into school and district performance across the state. These reports are designed to support parents, students, and school communities in evaluating equitable access to high-quality education.

We encourage families and stakeholders to:

  • Explore detailed data about their school and district;

  • Spark meaningful conversations within school communities; and

  • Use the reports to celebrate strengths and identify areas for improvement.

What’s New This Year?

The latest reports include several important updates:

  • Expanded Chronic Absenteeism Data with multi-year trends and corrective action plan indicators;

  • Seal of Biliteracy Data for current and former multilingual learners;

  • Arts Participation Rates for all K–12 students;

  • Disciplinary and Law Enforcement Data broken down by grade and student group; and

  • New High School Metrics such as 6-year federal graduation and persistence rates aligned with ESSA proposals.

The NJDOE invites ongoing public feedback to enhance future reports. Share your thoughts through the feedback survey or email suggestions to reportcard@doe.nj.gov.
