Principal Stefanie Fox-Manno

Mrs. Stefanie Fox-Manno

Woolwich Twp. – The Kingsway Regional School District recently appointed Stefanie Fox-Manno as the high school’s new principal, replacing Melvin Allen who had held the position since 2019. Ms. Fox-Manno will begin on September 21st.

Ms. Fox-Manno has worked for the last four years as the Chief Academic Officer (CAO) in the Pittsgrove Township School District.  As the CAO, Ms. Fox-Manno was responsible for leading a team of instructional supervisors, coaches, and principals.  She led the professional learning opportunities for teachers and administrators district-wide.  Most importantly, her work focused on building dynamic and equitable programming for students PreK-12.

“Stefanie Fox-Manno is an exceptional school leader, educator, and student advocate, and we are overjoyed to welcome her to Kingsway as our new high school principal,” said Dr. James J. Lavender, Superintendent of Schools. “Ms. Fox-Manno began her career at Kingsway—teaching middle school English then serving in the capacity of instructional supervisor. As a Dragon, her strong work ethic and ability to connect with her students were impressive and beyond measure. We are excited to welcome her back to Kingsway, where her career began, and look forward to the positive impact she will have on our faculty, staff, and students in her new role.”

Prior to her years as a CAO, Ms. Fox-Manno worked as the Humanities Instructional Supervisor in the Kingsway Regional School District where she supervised middle school and high school English instruction, the district English as a Second Language Program, the Media Center specialists and programs, and all district at-risk programs. She also helped design professional development for middle and high school teachers of all subject areas.  Prior to her administrative positions, she taught middle school English at Kingsway Regional Middle School and writing courses at Camden County Community College.  During her time at Kingsway, she earned the Distinguished Service Award in 2016 as an Instructional Supervisor, the Exemplary Secondary Educator Award for the State of New Jersey in 2012, and the Teacher of the Year Award in 2007.  Ms. Fox-Manno has enjoyed additional professional experiences, such as writing for Scope magazine and participating in the Japan Fulbright Teacher Program.

“I am beyond excited to be joining the Kingsway team and community,” said Ms. Fox-Manno. “This is where my professional journey started as a teacher, and now I am returning as a team member who wants to contribute my passion in creating experiences/programs for all learners to grow and unleash their potential.”

Ms. Fox-Manno earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Rowan University and graduated summa cum laude in 2002. Thereafter, she acquired her Master of Arts in Composition and Rhetoric from Rowan University.  Her continued education has involved obtaining both her supervisor and principal certifications as well as becoming a Data Wise certified coach for the Data Wise Project at Harvard University.  Ms. Fox-Manno recently joined the teaching team as a teaching fellow for the Data Wise in Action program through Harvard’s Data Wise Project.
