It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of Stephen Iannotti, a longtime and deeply respected member of the Kingsway family. Steve began his teaching career at Kingsway in 1977 and retired on July 1, 2010, after 32 years of dedicated service to our students and community.

During his tenure, Steve served as a middle school mathematics and U.S. history teacher and was named Middle School Teacher of the Year in 1999. He was also an accomplished baseball and football coach, contributing significantly to Kingsway’s athletic programs and mentoring countless student-athletes along the way.

Steve was a true “connector.” Colleagues have described him as a salt-of-the-earth kind of guy who would always go out of his way to help kids, connect with them, support them, and motivate them to be their best. He believed in students, built authentic relationships, and left a lasting impression on generations of Kingsway Dragons.

Even in retirement, Steve remained a familiar and welcome presence on campus, regularly participating in the Dragon Run and staying connected to the community he loved. Many will remember seeing Steve walking or jogging along Center Square Road early in the morning, often wearing his Kingsway jacket or sweatshirt, a routine that reflected his pride in Kingsway long after he retired.

Services to Honor the Life of Stephen Iannotti at Kingsway

A celebration of Steve’s life will be held on Thursday, January 15, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kingsway Regional High School, Eitel Theater, followed by a 7:00 p.m. service. Additionally, all are welcome to attend Coach I’s Storytime on Wednesday, January 14, at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom. Meeting ID: 617 091 8655.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Steve’s memory to one of the following organizations:

• Kingsway Education Foundation, designated in Steve’s memory for the Barchuk Heart of a Dragon Scholarship Fund.

It is with a heavy heart that I share the sad news of the passing of Mr. Glen Coombs, Kingsway's former Director of Buildings & Grounds.

Fondly known to many as "Mr. Glen," Mr. Coombs dedicated himself to Kingsway Regional High School as the Maintenance and Grounds Supervisor from 1979 until his retirement in 2006. He was a cherished member of our community, loved by both students and staff. Those who knew him will remember his ever-present smile and the kind words he always had for everyone. In his final weeks, he found great comfort in the many heartfelt notes and memories shared with him by the Kingsway community.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Mr. Coombs's life will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Brantley Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, Mr. Coombs's family has requested that memorial donations be made in his honor to Kingsway Regional High School. The donations will fund a tribute on the high school grounds, ensuring that Mr. Coombs will always be remembered on the campus that meant so much to him.
