Kingsway Regional Virtual Learning & Supports Program
Dear Students & Parents/Guardians:
Kingsway Regional School District (KRSD) is dedicated to the continuity of instruction and supports while we respond to COVID-19. For the 2020-2021 school year, the district has updated its Virtual Learning Program to include the following components that impact teaching and learning.
- A hybrid school schedule that includes a mix of in-person instruction and virtual learning while maintaining social distancing
- A new Learning Management System (LMS), Schoology, that will streamline learning and communication for student, parents, and teachers
- A learning experience that includes both synchronous (live) and asynchronous (self-guided) virtual instruction for students.
While Kingsway's Virtual Learning Program is not intended to replace the traditional classroom environment, teachers will still be able to deliver standards-based instruction until the normal school schedule can resume. Additionally, school counselors and special education case managers will also continue to provide supports to students and parents remotely during this time.
We have made enhancements from our spring 2020 Virtual Learning Program as we transition to the fall 2020 program. These enhancements are noted in the chart below.
The contents of this webpage are intended to provide information on our Virtual Learning Program as well as resources to support faculty, parents, and staff as we navigate this journey together. More information and resources will be added throughout the year.
