Meet the Child Study Team
The Child Study Team is a multidisciplinary group of professionals who support students, staff, and parents in maximizing student achievement, particularly for students suspected or identified as having a disability. The Child Study Team consists of a school psychologist, a learning disabilities teacher consultant, and a social worker. A speech therapist is also part of the team when appropriate. Mrs. Danielle Baney, M.A., Ed.S., NCSP
School Psychologist
Danielle Baney is a nationally certified school psychologist (NCSP). She has proudly been a Kingsway Dragon since 2011! Mrs. Baney graduated from Stockton College earning her Bachelor's degree in Psychology before going to Rowan University and pursuing School Psychology, earning an M.A. and Ed.S. In addition to being the School Psychologist on the Middle School Child Study Team, she serves as the Anti-bullying Specialist, Special Education Team Leader, and Co-advises Dragon SPARK. Through this unique club, student leaders plan activities to promote inclusion, acceptance, and respect as well as each of the #1DragonFamily themes throughout the building and local community. Supporting students and families through educational and social-emotional needs has been a personal focus that evolved from having a sibling on the Autism Spectrum. Prior to beginning at Kingsway, Mrs. Baney gained experience supporting students with Autism in specialized out of district placements and in home programming.

Mrs. Laura Campbell, M.A.
Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant
Laura Campbell earned undergraduate degrees in both Elementary Education and Biology from Rowan University. She worked with Kindergarten students for two and a half years as an instructional assistant in Somers Point, and teacher at Blessed Sacrament Regional School. Mrs. Campbell then taught at-risk high school students for the next eight years in Vineland Public Schools. She earned her Master's degree in Learning Disabilities from Rowan University in 2011. As a Child Study Team member, she has evaluated and case managed students in grades K through 12; in Autistic, Mild and Moderately Cognitively Impaired, Behaviorally Disabled, Bilingual, Resource Center, In Class Support, and Self Contained Learned Language Disabled programs. Mrs. Campbell proudly became a Dragon at the end of 2019 as the LDTC on the Kingsway Regional Middle School Child Study Team.

Ms. Cindy Cupitt, M.A., Ed.S., NCSP
School Psychologist
Cindy Cupitt is a nationally certified school psychologist (NCSP). She joined Kingsway Regional High School’s Child Study Team in 2024. Ms. Cupitt graduated from The College of New Jersey with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a psychology concentration. She earned an M.A. in School Counseling at Wilmington University, and completed the Educational Specialist Program in School Psychology at Rowan University. In addition, she is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Prior to her position at Kingsway, she was an educator for twelve years, in the teaching positions of special education and middle school science. Additionally, she was a member of Temple University’s faculty for two years, where she coached student teachers and instructed a variety of education courses.
Ms. Cupitt is passionate about helping high school students build resilience and independence as they prepare for adulthood. She is proud to contribute to the academic and personal growth of her students.

Ms. Dolly Guzman, M.A., NCED
Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant
Dolly Guzman is a Bilingual Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant as well as a Nationally Certified Educational Diagnostician. Dolly has been in education for 27 years beginning her journey as a certified Pre-K-8 elementary education teacher. Dolly graduated from Rowan University with a dual B.A. in Elementary Education and Speech/Theater/Dance. Ms. Guzman earned her M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from Marygrove College. During her tenure as a classroom teacher Dolly was honored as teacher of the year, served as department chair, Girl Scout Leader, Special Olympics Coach, and chaired the multicultural organization & spelling bee club. She returned to Rowan University to earn her certification as a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant. Dolly has experience case managing preschool aged children transitioning into school all the way up to preparing high school students transitioning into adulthood. Ms. Guzman enthusiastically joined the Kingsway Regional High School Child Study Team in 2021.
Ms. Guzman passionately advocates for all children and works diligently to remove the stigma associated with special education because special education is a service not a place. Her core beliefs are that all children can learn, even if they are differently abled because if a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn; I.E.

Dr. Shanna Hoffman
School Social Worker
Shanna Hoffman is a graduate of Wesley College, Seton Hall University, and Rowan University. She completed her doctorate of psychology in 2007 at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Hoffman is a trained school psychologist who began her career at Kingsway as a member of the Child Study Team in 2003. In 2011, Dr. Hoffman became the Supervisor of Special Services. Her role was expanded in December 2014 to include South Harrison Elementary. In September 2024, Dr. Hoffman was afforded the opportunity to resume her role as case manager and member of the Child Study Team. She obtained an emergency certificate as a School Social Worker and will be pursuing coursework to obtain her standard certification.
In addition to her experience in education, Dr. Hoffman has five year’s experience as a psychiatric crisis screener. Dr. Hoffman is passionate about inclusive education and helping those in need. In her free time, she cherishes time with family and her beloved dog Lucy.

Mrs. Melissa Lachall, Ed.S., NCSP
School Psychologist
Melissa Lachall is a nationally certified school psychologist (NCSP). She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Penn State University. After working in the Human Resources field for eight years, Mrs. Lachall returned to graduate school and received her Master of Arts in School Psychology and her Educational Specialist degree from Rowan University. Mrs. Lachall worked for Salem County Special Services School District as a School Psychologist before starting at Kingsway Regional School District in September 2013. Mrs. Lachall currently works at Kingsway Regional High School as a School Psychologist and Anti-Bullying Specialist.

Dr. Leslie Miles
School Psychologist
Leslie Miles is a nationally certified school psychologist (NCSP). She completed her undergraduate work at Towson University, where she was a Division I NCAA athlete on the track team and graduated Cum Laude. She completed her graduate work at Rowan University and her doctoral training at Georgian Court University. She began her career as a school psychologist in Hammonton, NJ, where she worked for 7 years. Dr. Miles serves on the executive board for the New Jersey Association of School Psychologists (NJASP).
Dr. Miles is passionate about building upon strengths and protective factors to ensure everyone has what they need to be successful. She enjoys working collaboratively with team members, teachers, staff, administrators, parents, and students.
In her free time, she enjoys running, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Miles is a graduate of Kingsway Regional High School and is proud to serve her alma mater! Once a Dragon, always a Dragon!

Mr. George Mercado, M.S., BCBA
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
George Mercado is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). He has been a part of the Kingsway family since 2019. Mr. Mercado graduated from Rutgers University, earning his Bachelor's degree in Psychology before attending Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) and pursuing a Master of Science in School Psychology, with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. Mr. Mercado shares the responsibility of being the BCBA for both the Middle School and High School Child Study Teams. Mr. Mercado focuses on using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to best support students and families with educational and social-emotional needs through positive behavior supports! Prior to Kingsway, Mr. Mercado gained experience supporting students with special needs in specialized out of district placements and in-home programming as a Clinical Manager and as a BCBA for a consultative company that provided services in multiple school districts and in family homes.

Mrs. Morgan Moore, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Morgan Moore received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from La Salle University in 2013 and became a Kingsway Dragon shortly after. Mrs. Moore provides speech and language therapy for disorders in articulation, fluency, voice, auditory processing, receptive and expressive language, and social skills. She also implements assistive technology throughout the district, including, but not limited to, AAC devices, FM systems, and online programs. Mrs. Moore has a special interest in technology advancements for struggling readers. Mrs. Moore is dedicated to making speech therapy fun and engaging while addressing each child’s unique needs.

Mrs. Jamie Pallies, MSW, LSW
School Social Worker
Jamie Pallies earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology at Rowan University. She then went on to obtain her Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University and became a Licensed Social Worker and Certified School Social Worker. Prior to becoming a School Social Worker, Mrs. Pallies worked with a non-profit agency providing in-home supports and services to parents and children in the foster care system. She has been a School Social Worker since 2011 with experience in working with students in Preschool -12th grade as well as those in out of district placements.
Mrs. Pallies joined the Kingsway Regional High School Child Study Team in September 2024.
