This mission is accomplished by:

• Providing equal access to high quality resources in a  secure, supportive environment that empowers and challenges each individual to pursue his/her potential.

• Fostering a passion for reading for both enjoyment and learning.

• Encouraging active and ethical digital citizenship.

• Delivering instruction to ensure competence in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas.

• Collaborating with other educators to design learning strategies that enable individual students to reach a high standard of achievement at all grade levels as defined by the Common Core State Standards.

Student Access:  Before reporting to the library media center from the classroom, a student must secure a pass from a teacher. Students are not permitted to visit the LMC without a pass.  The high school Library Media Centers are available to students during the SMART lunch period.
