Free Eye Screenings
The Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the NJ Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Gloucester County offers free eye-screenings twice a month for all county children and adults over the age of four. This service is provided in an effort to prevent or limit the impact of vision loss in our county.
The Division of Disability Services offers the free eye screenings at two locations including evening hours. Appointments can be made for the second Wednesday of every month from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Gloucester County Health Department at 204 East Holly Sewell, and on the last Wednesday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon at the Shady Lane Home at 256 County House Road, Clarksboro.
Please call the Division of Disability Services at (856) 384-6842 to make an appointment for free eye screening for yourself and family members. Walk-ins are accepted for Glaucoma screenings only.
