Mrs. Emily Virga
Mrs. Emily Virga serves as the Chief Academic Officer for the Kingsway Regional School District. As the CAO, Mrs. Virga is responsible for the development and implementation of the core curriculum, special programs and academies, instructional technology, professional development, our library media program, and the development of alternative course modalities, including but not limited to our HyFlex courses for juniors and seniors. In this current educational environment, Mrs. Virga realizes the opportunity to innovate and improve our current modalities of instruction to enhance learning experiences for all children as we step into the future to prepare them for their unique paths in life.
Experience and Accomplishments
Mrs. Virga taught special education for twelve years, including six years at Eastern Regional High School and six years at Kingsway Regional Middle School. During her tenure at Kingsway, Mrs. Virga taught mathematics and served as the Math Department Chairperson, the Academic Assistance Program Coordinator, and as a Data Tech Mentor. As a classroom teacher, Mrs. Virga was passionate about integrating technology to meet the individual needs of all students. As a teacher leader, she supported colleagues in the use of educational technology to transform instruction and meet the needs of a variety of learners. Mrs. Virga was honored as Kingsway Regional Middle School Teacher of the Year in 2015. She was also honored as a three-time Kingsway Education Foundation (KEF) mini-grant recipient and as a Kingsway Regional Middle School Dragon of the Month. Mrs. Virga transitioned into administration as the Middle School Assistant Principal in 2018. She served as the Science Department Instructional Supervisor, I&RS Team Coordinator, and the Renaissance Program Supervisor during her two years as Middle School Assistant Principal. From August 2020 through fall 2022, Ms. Virga served as Kingsway's Director of Virtual Learning and Instruction and led our school community through the challenges of virtual learning and the adoption of our current learning management system, Schoology. She received a Distinguished Service Award at the conclusion of the 2019-2020 school year for her work with the district's Pandemic Planning Committee.
Education and Studies
Mrs. Virga graduated from Drew University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and then engaged in post-graduate studies focusing on Special Education. She pursued her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Montclair State University, where she graduated with honors. Mrs. Virga is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University.

Ms. Rachael Anderson
Supervisor of 7-12 English-language Arts and Multicultural Learners Program
Ms. Rachael Anderson currently serves as the 7-12 Instructional Supervisor for English Language Arts (ELA), World Languages (Grades 7-12), and Family and Consumer Science (Grades 9-12).
Experience and Accomplishments: Ms. Anderson taught preschool and elementary school for seventeen years in various classroom settings, including as a Montessori teacher with students ages 2.6 to 6 years of age, as a Kindergarten teacher, and as a reading specialist in a public- school setting. She was awarded Teacher of the Year in an NJ public school elementary district in 2006 and again in 2009 before joining Kingsway's shared services curriculum team in 2013.
Ms. Anderson has been an instructional supervisor for the Kingsway Curriculum team since its inception in 2013. During her tenure at Kingsway, she acted as an elementary supervisor for grades 7-12 and as the Elementary Supervisor for the Social Studies, Science, English Language Arts, mathematics, and Special Education for grades 1-6 at both the Swedesboro-Woolwich and South Harrison School district through a shared curriculum service. In addition, she has served as a supervisor for the following curricular programs: math, science, and visual and performing arts. During the 2017-2018 school year, Ms. Anderson served as the assistant principal at Kingsway’s Middle School. In that capacity, she worked with the middle school’s Intervention & Referral Services (I&RS) team in the Renaissance program and served as the middle school’s Affirmative Action officer. She supervised Kingsway’s Community and Education Program (CER), which includes enrichment programs for students K through 12 years of age until 2021.
Education and Studies: Ms. Anderson obtained her Pre-Primary Montessori certificate from the Montessori Education Center in her native Ireland. After emigrating to the United States, she received her American Montessori Certification, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Chestnut Hill College, Pennsylvania, in 2002. Ms. Anderson is a 2006 recipient of a Master of Arts degree in Reading Education and 2018 a Masters of Arts degree in School Administration, both from Rowan University.

Mr. Balvir Singh
Supervisor of 7-12 Mathematics, Business and Technology
Mr. Balvir Singh, M.Sc., is the 7-12 Instructional Supervisor for the Mathematics, Business & Technology departments. Mr. Singh also oversees the district’s Business Leadership Academy.
Experience & Accomplishments: Mr. Singh has eleven years of experience as a mathematics teacher in grades 7th through 12th at public schools. He has teaching experience in resource, inclusion, general, honors, and alternative school classrooms. As an adjunct instructor at the local community college, he has taught statistics, calculus, and linear algebra courses. Over the years, Mr. Singh has also served as a Class Advisor, Student Council Advisor, Robotics Club Advisor, mentor teacher for new teachers, and cooperating teacher for student teachers. From 2008 to 2012, Mr. Singh spearheaded his district’s PLC team, Connect-Ed, with support from Rider University’s Teaching and Learning Center. As a member of the Connect-Ed consortium at Rider University, he worked collaboratively with K-12 teachers to design and present STEM units that integrate core science concepts across grade levels and disciplines. Mr. Singh has maintained an active professional presenter profile through his participation at in-district workshops, Rider & Princeton Universities’ joint summer institutes, and AMTNJ and NJEA conventions. Mr. Singh has presented his research on the students’ experiences in the Collaboration based Dynamic Geometry environments at the International Conference of Mathematics Educators in Hamburg, Germany. Recently, Mr. Singh joined a team of Mathematics Educators from the U.S. as part of the Teachers2Teachers Global program and visited Galapagos, Ecuador to provide professional development to public school teachers through the Ecuadorian Ministry of Education.
Education and Studies: Mr. Singh earned his B.A. in Mathematics & Education from The College of New Jersey. As an undergraduate, Mr. Singh took a special interest in Mersenne Primes, leading to his Independent Study work where he checked the primality of integers up to 999,999,999,999 and studied the efficiency of various algorithms using JAVA language. Mr. Singh completed his M.Sc. in Pure Mathematics from Rutgers University. During his graduate studies, Mr. Singh further cultivated his computer programming skills and became adept at visualizing data through the creation of 3D models and animations using Mathematica and Maple programs. Mr. Singh continued his professional studies at Rowan University, leading to the Supervisory Certificate. Currently, Mr. Singh is a Ph.D. candidate at Rutgers University in the Mathematics Education program, where he is focusing on Learning, Cognition, Instruction, and Development.

Ms. Megan Bruder
Supervisor of 7-12 Science and S.T.E.M. Academy
Experience and Accomplishments: Ms. Bruder joined the Kingsway team in 2016. Ms. Bruder has various experiences in S.T.E.M. education at a variety of age levels. She has done research on the importance of S.T.E.M. education and how to best implement this in the classroom. Ms. Bruder has been an integral part of the development of the School of Health professions; working to establish partnerships with Rowan College of South Jersey for the students. She has also been heavily involved in the evolution of the S.T.E.M. academy over the years. . Ms. Bruder has also conducted a myriad of interdisciplinary activities with real-world applications that prepare students for college and careers in the S.T.E.M. field. With the aid of Ms. Bruder and the academy counselor working in conjunction with students, service-learning has become a pride point for our students. Ms. Bruder has also increased the S.T.E.M. electives offered to students with the addition of Project Lead the Way coursework in Principles of Engineering. Enrichment opportunities such as the Biology Olympiad and Science Olympiad, which have students who have medaled in competitions, and Kingsway's team placed 3rd in the region in 2020. Ms. Bruder also oversees the curricula from 7-12 for the science department, emphasizing the differentiation of instruction to meet all learners' needs as well as real-world application.
Prior to joining the dragon family, Ms. Bruder served the Black Horse Pike school district as a chemistry teacher leader for ten years. There she fostered her passion for S.T.E.M. and began a S.T.E.A.M. academy similar to the one at Kingsway. Ms. Bruder has specialized in enriching competitive opportunities over the years. She has personal experience with the SeaPerch competition where her previous students placed first in the Philadelphia Regional area. Ms. Bruder oversaw the development of interdisciplinary curricula to better serve students’ needs. These included the development of an organic garden, libraries, and proposals for land development. Ms. Bruder has worked for the Health Careers Opportunity Program, which was an enrichment program for underprivileged students aimed at closing the opportunity gap. These students gained exposure to health careers and were given tools they needed to succeed during the school year, such as mathematical reinforcement, which was one of the supports she provided. Women in STEM fields is also an area in which Ms. Bruder has developed a passion, working with the Girls Scouts and participating in S.T.E.M. seminars for teen girls. Ms. Bruder also conducted PLCs on different pedagogical strategies. She has mentored numerous teachers in various disciplines. She was also the National Honor Society and Science Club advisor for five years.
Education and Studies: Ms. Bruder graduated Magna Cum Laude from Gwynedd-Mercy College, where she received her B.S. in Biology/Pre-Medicine with a Secondary Education certificate in Biology. Ms. Bruder continued her studies at the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated Cum Laude with a Master’s Degree in Chemistry Education. Here, she studied under the educational innovator, Rick Moog. He is credited with the development of Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL). Additionally, Ms. Bruder attended the New Jersey Expedited Certification for Education Leadership.

Mrs. Nicole Cammarota-Verasco
Nicole Cammarota is the Instructional Supervisor for Special Education and Gifted & Talented Programming at Kingsway Regional School District, where she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role. Her career encompasses a diverse range of positions, including serving as an Instructional Coach for the National Math Science Initiative, where she focused on equity, English Language Arts, literacy, inclusion, and gifted education. Nicole has also taught 7th and 8th grade pre-AP Gifted & Talented English, 8th grade Special Education English, as well as 12th grade honors and college prep English and served as a reading interventionist. Her extensive background reflects a deep commitment to fostering educational excellence and inclusivity.
Nicole holds a B.A. in Secondary Education and English from The College of New Jersey, an M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Gifted Education from the University of Virginia, and a Supervisors Certification from the same institution. She is currently pursuing an Ed.D in Educational Leadership at Rowan University. Nicole's educational qualifications and hands-on experience equip her with a unique perspective on addressing the needs of both special education and gifted students, enabling her to drive impactful educational programs and support diverse learning needs effectively.
