Meet the Director of Athletics
June Cioffi, Director of Athletics
Ms. June Cioffi currently serves as the Director of Athletics and supervises the Health and Physical Education Department for grades 7-12 at Kingsway Regional School District. Ms. Cioffi also currently serves as the Tri County Conference secretary and is on various committees within the conference. She is on the executive committee of the TouchDown Club of South Jersey, Secretary of the South Jersey Field Hockey Coaches Association, Vice President of the South Jersey Coaches Association and served on the NJSIAA Strategic Planning Committee.
Education and Studies: Ms. Cioffi graduated from Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Physical Education. She continued her education at Rowan University and earned a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership.
Experience and Accomplishments: Ms. Cioffi taught for five years in the Black Horse Pike Regional School District where she served as a Health and Physical Education teacher as well as Driver’s Education. During her time teaching, she served as the head field hockey coach for Highland and Timber Creek High Schools, and assistant girl’s track coach at Triton High School. Shortly after, Ms. Cioffi became the Director of Athletics and Supervisor of Health and Physical Education at Timber Creek High School. She served on the Olympic Conference Executive Committee, chairperson of field hockey and wrestling, secretary for the conference and led the sportsmanship committee. Ms. Cioffi had the pleasure of witnessing Timber Creek High School Athletics grow into a South Jersey Group III powerhouse winning several Olympic Conference, South Jersey, and State Championships over the years. Ms. Cioffi spent four years in the Woodstown-Pilesgrove School District as the Director of Athletics and Supervisor of the Health and Physical Education Department K-12. She implemented the FitnessGram Program in the middle school and revised the entire department's curriculum. She was able to initiate many upgrades to the Athletic Department’s facilities and athletic programs. She started a school and community-wide slogan and increased the level of school spirit and pride in athletics. While at Kingsway, the athletic programs continue to soar and achieve conference, sectional and state championships. Kingsway continues to win the Tri-County Conference All Sports Award year after year. Over the last few years, Ms. Cioffi is proud to have been a part of implementing Unified Physical Education to the Kingsway District and the athletic department has added Girls Wrestling, which is the largest program in the State of New Jersey, Girls Golf, a Dance Team, Girls Flag Football and Esports. Ms.Cioffi was honored as Athletic Director of the Year in 2010 and 2016 and, in 2021, received the NJSIAA South Sectional Award of Merit.
Dave Stanton, Supervisor of Athletics
Experience and Accomplishments:
Mr. Stanton joined the Kingsway team in 2011, shortly after earning his degree from Rowan University. He began as a long-term substitute teacher in history/social studies at Kingsway Regional High School and was hired full-time the following year. Mr. Stanton taught various levels of World History, emphasizing diverse perspectives and viewpoints from around the globe. He also taught Advanced Placement courses, including AP World History and AP European History, where his students consistently performed at a collegiate level and earned college credits.
In 2017, Mr. Stanton was promoted to department chair for the history/social studies department. During his teaching tenure, he played an active role in the School Improvement Panel (ScIP) and the School Safety and Climate Committee at the high school. Mr, Stanton also participated in AP Roundtable discussions to promote collaborative growth, pedagogical innovation, and consistency in the district's AP programs. Additionally, Mr. Stanton contributed to the Memorial Day Ceremony Committee, which focused on honoring American heroes especially from our community.
Throughout his time at Kingsway, Mr. Stanton served in various capacities, including coaching the Kingsway Regional Baseball and Soccer teams since 2012 and spending seven years with the Boys' Basketball team. He also worked as a practicum teacher for students from Rowan University and as a cooperating teacher for two student-teachers from local universities. Mr. Stanton mentored several new teachers, helping them smoothly transition into their roles at Kingsway Regional.
In 2024, Mr. Stanton took on a new role as the Supervisor of Athletics for the district. In this capacity, he assists athletic teams and coaches while also helping oversee the Physical Education/Health Department, continuing to serve as a resource and coach for students and teachers at Kingsway.
Education and Studies:
Mr. Stanton earned his Associate's Degree in History and Education from Gloucester County College as part of the New Jersey Student Tuition Assistance Reward Scholarship (NJ STARS). He then attended Rowan University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's in History/Subject Matter Teaching and Secondary Education. After several years in education and completing two years in Wilmington University’s School Leadership Program, he earned his Master's in Education.
