Kingsway Eligibility and Participation Requirements

1. To be eligible for athletic competition during the first semester (September 1 to January 31), a pupil must have passed 6 credits of the 24 credits required by the State of New Jersey for graduation during the immediately preceding academic year.

2. To be eligible for the second semester (February 3 to June 30), a student must be successfully passing courses that will yield at least 6 credits by the end of the school year.

3. An athlete becomes ineligible for high school athletics if he/she attains the age of 19 prior to September 1st.  However, any student attaining the age of 19 after September 1st shall be eligible for the ensuing school year. 

4. No students shall be eligible for high school athletics after the expiration of eight consecutive semesters following their entrance to ninth grade.
