School of Education

Founded in 2026–27 and guided by the motto Docendo Discimus (“By teaching, we learn”), Kingsway Regional High School’s School of Education is a multi-year program for students interested in teaching and related educational careers. The program introduces the professional world of education, builds foundational knowledge in child and adolescent development, learning theory, educational history, and classroom practice, and emphasizes the belief that teaching others deepens understanding. Through coursework, mentorship, and field experiences, students explore educational practice, leadership, and service while preparing for future study or paraprofessional roles.

Program Highlights

  • Students begin the program in the sophomore year and deepen their studies through advanced courses in their junior and senior years

  • Course topics include child development, learning, educational history, and school law

  • Students gain real-world experience through a senior-year practicum in local schools and childcare centers

  • A professional portfolio demonstrates readiness for education majors or paraprofessional roles
