• Ms. Stowman-Burke serves as assistant principal for 11th and 12th grade and as a supervisor of instruction. Her responsibilities include oversight of I&RS and Kingsway’s Restorative Justice Program. In addition to handling the high schools behavioral and academic intervention programs, Ms. Stowman-Burke supports staff with proactive classroom strategies to meet the needs of all learners and trains teachers to focus on strength based solutions.

     

    Additionally, Ms. Stowman-Burke leads our School Climate Transformation Project (SCTP) with Dr. Stephen Bernardini of Rutgers University, and is an active member of our Equity Team; a partnership with Rowan University’s CASE Center to support faculty, students and the community with the development of initiatives that will address local and regional issues of access, success and equity.

    • Represented the State of New Jersey & Gloucester County at the NEA Minority and Women’s Leadership Conference in New Orleans, LA & Iselin, New Jersey
    • NEA Representative Assembly Delegate for the State of New Jersey & Gloucester County
    • 2015 Teacher of the Year for Glassboro Intermediate School
    • 2015 National Council of Excellence Recipient for Community Outreach (SGA Advisor)
    • Worked with Borough leaders to establish and fund Grandparents Gone Wired, an outreach program designed to educate adult learners and build working relationships between the school and community.
