• The Child Study Team is a multi-disciplinary group of professionals who support students, staff, and parents in maximizing student achievement, particularly for students suspected or identified as having a disability.  The Child Study Team is comprised of a school psychologist, learning disabilities teacher consultant, and social worker.  A speech therapist is also part of the Team when appropriate.  Questions regarding Child Study Team services can be directed to any of the individuals below by contacting 467-3300, extension 4232.

Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant

Christie Bamford joins the Kingsway Regional High School Child Study Team after 15 years of teaching. While middle school English Language Arts Literacy, both general education and special education, was her primary teaching responsibility, she also has experience with multiple age levels and content areas. Mrs. Bamford has taught middle school Social Studies, guided reading intervention grouping at the elementary level, and Tier III intervention reading instruction at the secondary level. Throughout her career in education, she has enjoyed coaching Cheerleading at the middle school and high school levels, as well as, advising a peer mediation club and a National Junior Honor Society. She has had the opportunity to be a member of steering committees for school wide behavior supports, including Renaissance and Positive Behavior Support (PBS).

School Psychologist

Originally from Monmouth County, Danielle Baney graduated from Stockton College in 2008 with a Bachelor degree in Psychology. She then went on to study school psychology at Rowan University earning both Master of Arts and Educational Specialist degrees. Mrs. Baney has been a Kingsway Dragon since 2011.

Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant

Laura Campbell earned undergraduate degrees in both Elementary Education and Biology from Rowan University. She worked with Kindergarten students for two and a half years as an instructional assistant in Somers Point, and teacher at Blessed Sacrament Regional School. Mrs. Campbell then taught at-risk high school students for the next eight years in Vineland Public Schools. She earned her Master's degree in Learning Disabilities from Rowan University in 2011. As a Child Study Team member, she has evaluated and case managed students in grades K through 12; in Autistic, Mild and Moderately Cognitively Impaired, Behaviorally Disabled, Bilingual, Resource Center, In Class Support, and Self Contained Learned Language Disabled programs. Mrs. Campbell proudly became a Dragon at the end of 2019 as the LDTC on the Kingsway Regional Middle School Child Study Team.

Social Worker

Maria DiGiovanni is the School Social Worker with the Kingsway Child Study Team. She received her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Temple University in 1994. She was accepted in the Advanced Placement program at Rutgers University where she earned her Master's degree in Social Work-Direct Practice. Prior to becoming a Kingsway Dragon in July 2000, Mrs. DiGiovanni worked at Adoptions from the Heart and The NJ Department of Youth and Family Services. Mrs. DiGiovanni was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In her spare time she enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.

School Psychologist

Upon graduating from Lenape High School, Joanellen Fenimore earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Delaware. After working for several years in the mental health setting, she earned her Master's degree and Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology from Rowan University. While working in the mental health setting, Ms. Fenimore received recognition for her work with emotionally disturbed, abused, and neglected children by both national and local press. In her time here at Kingsway, Ms. Fenimore has supported many students in their endeavors to overcome their challenges and successfully graduate. As a district Anti-Bullying Specialist, she co-advises the Anti-Bullying club which includes organizing the Week of Respect for the entire school.

School Psychologist

Melissa Lachall received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Penn State University.  After working in the Human Resources field for eight years, Mrs. Lachall returned to graduate school and received her Master of Arts in School Psychology and her Educational Specialist degree from Rowan University.   Mrs. Lachall worked for Salem County Special Services School District as a School Psychologist before starting at Kingsway Regional School District in September 2013.  Mrs. Lachall currently works at Kingsway Regional High School as a School Psychologist and Anti-Bullying Specialist.

Speech Therapist

Morgan Moore is the speech-language specialist for the district. Mrs. Moore attended La Salle University for her graduate studies in Speech-Language Pathology. Her previous experience includes working at Berlin Township School District with children in preschool through grade 8, and she has also worked with individuals of all ages at Inspira Medical Center in Woodbury. Mrs. Moore provides speech and language therapy for disorders in articulation, fluency, voice, auditory processing, receptive and expressive language, and social skills.

Mrs. Tiffany Scurry, M.S.W.

Tiffany Scurry is a Social Worker on the Child Study Team.  She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Sociology and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Walden University.  Mrs. Scurry excitedly became a Kingsway Dragon in August 2018!  Prior to this position, Mrs. Scurry worked in underprivileged school districts, and for community agencies- Robins’ Nest, Inc., Healthy Families of America, and Parents as Teachers.  Mrs. Scurry’s vision includes making school more like home and home more like school in which the continuity of learning and student support exists in both settings.
