School officials will begin the new school year by tightening up our high school cell phone/electronic device policy by requiring all students to silence their phones/devices and put them away during class and study halls. However, students may use their cell phones responsibly during S.M.A.R.T. and passing time. Aside from S.M.A.R.T. and passing time, cell phones are not to be seen nor heard during the instructional day.
It is the District’s expectation that all students dress appropriately for the school day, athletic competition, activity and any school sponsored event. The Student Dress Code is designed to support equitable educational access and should not increase marginalization or oppression of any group based on race, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status or cultural observance.
Harvard, Penn, Cornell, Brown and the Naval Academy are just a sample of the more than 200 colleges and universities granting admission to Kingsway Regional High School students last spring.
