Mr. Melvin Allen serves as principal of Kingsway Regional High School.  Mr. Allen oversees the operations of the school and is responsible for ensuring the school runs smoothly, remains safe, and provides an excellent learning environment for all the students of Kingsway. Specifically, one of the primary responsibilities of Mr. Allen is the development of the school leadership team (ScIP) which helps to provide guidance/direction to the staff, to help review and promote positive educational change, oversight, and provide sustainability of the academics within Kingsway Regional High School. Together with the members of the Administrative Team, Mr. Allen provides complete oversight of all aspects of the High School. 



    Experience and Accomplishments


    Mr. Allen comes by way of Deptford Township. He previously served as HS math teacher, Assistant Principal, Curriculum Supervisor, and Principal.  As High School Principal, Mr. Allen oversaw the implementation of two major initiatives including implementing the “one lunch” as well as bringing the research based program of AVID into the school. Mr. Allen also has 2 years experience as a Middle School Assistant Principal at Galloway Twp. Middle School.  Mr. Allen will be entering his 19th year in public education.

    Mr. Allen earned his Bachelors in Science in Mathematics/Secondary Education degree from Ursinus College in 2000 and a Masters of Educational Administration from Cheyney University in 2004 where he graduated Suma Cum Laude.
